The full form of MPV is Mean Platelet Volume. MPV Blood Test high (Mean Platelet Volume) measures the average sized platelets found in a blood sample. Complete Blood Count is also a part of MPV. For checking other certain conditions along other test of blood healthcare teams uses MPV.  Too high MPV means the increase of the production and destruction of platelets. An elevated MPV are caused by certain conditions. It includes Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura leading to platelets abnormal destruction or blood cancers. The vessel wall's inner lining does not allow sticking. Outer layer helps sticking together and helping clotting and stops bleeding. A platelet's normal count ranges usually between 150,000 to 400,000 microlitres of a blood. Though it sounds a lot but they are so small that they occupy a tiny part of the whole volume of blood. It is occurred by failure of bone marrow producing enough platelet or may result in the destruction of platelets after been produced. Blood tests should always be carried under strict vigilance and it is recommended that a person performs these sorts of medical things under the vigilance of a doctor or a physician who is expert in this field. Hence a person should always be very much aware of the fact that though this MPV is very useful and very successful treatment but still it requires very expert hands for the operation of the thing. It is very common that general physicians do these types of tests. But it is not the task of the common practisioners.
